SAMANTHA PEEK
Samantha joins Fahrenheit 212 as a designer bringing with her a love of problem solving, a knack for story-telling and a passion for color.
Samantha was raised in Texas where she was fed a steady stream of Tex-Mex, taught the art of two-stepping and formally educated in the importance of state pride.
Growing up she was attracted to words, and how in perfect sequence they could paint a picture of another world. In pursuit of word-stringing and story-telling, she received a BA in print journalism from the University of Texas at Austin. However, she quickly discovered that writing stories alone was missing the visual element that she craved.
Seeking an outlet for her creative musings, Samantha went on to study design in an intensive program at Portfolio Center in Atlanta, Georgia. After two years immersed in design history, typography and X-ACTO blades, she graduated with an instilled love of design thinking and a desire to create things that resonate on a deeper level.
Prior to joining Fahrenheit 212, Samantha worked as a designer at a social media agency where she helped to develop social campaigns and design websites and mobile apps for clients such as Met-RX, Kohler, Pemmican, and Applegate Farms.
Most days you can find her getting lost in the dollar-priced bookshelves at Strand, taking hundreds of photos simultaneously with her DSLR and iPhone, or playing volleyball with one of her two teams. A self-proclaimed blog addict, she is constantly catching up on her endless list of bookmarked sites.
