MELISSA TISCHLER
At one point, Melissa was a Fahrenheit 212 client. Thinking it would be more exciting to be part of our team, Melissa is now an Engagement Manager within the Commercial Strategy group.
Prior to joining Fahrenheit 212, Melissa was the Director of Innovation and Brand Development at a brand incubator called The Kind Group. While at Kind, Melissa launched a women’s personal care line, including shave cream, lip balm, and body lotion, under the eos brand name. Since its launch, eos has gained nationwide distribution at major mass retailers and has been cited as a hot product in dozens of women’s magazines. Melissa also spent many years as a Senior Consultant with Faith Popcorn’s BrainReserve helping clients like Pepsi, KFC, Tyson, and RadioShack position their brands, develop new products, and understand the trends driving their consumers. As part of the client immersion processes, she has learned how to work a deep fryer, how to weave a basket by hand, and has tasted test-flavors of Gatorade straight off the conveyor belt. She has also dabbled in the emerging field of neuromarketing, has authorized the openings of dozens of Gap stores, and has been responsible for the distribution of millions of magazine subscription notices.
In her spare time, Melissa can be found doing her favorite marine-style bootcamp. This serves as a nice compliment to her passion for baking. She’s also is a good person to ask for restaurant recommendations and she’s happy to show you the “masterpieces” she’s created in her abstract expressionist painting classes at the MoMA.
Melissa holds a BA in Psychology from Brown and an MBA in Marketing and Strategic Management from Wharton. At Fahrenheit 212, she feels she’s finally found a role that lets her exercise both sides of her academic background in equal measure – something she didn’t think was possible.
