MARCUS OLIVER
As a Partner and Innovation Director at innovation consultancy Fahrenheit 212, Marcus creates, develops, produces and drives transformational ideas to market.
Over the past decade he has built and launched new products across four continents with extensive experience in technology, financial services, food & beverage, fashion, toys, media and household/personal care products.
Marcus finds the cross-pollination of insights across categories and sectors leads to bigger ideas. His aim: deliver pioneering, achievable innovations that feel like you’re seeing the obvious for the very first time.
Marcus’s Masters in Experimental Psychology from Oxford University encouraged his fascination with the world, its people and their varied intersections and interactions. Marcus uses this knowledge to “innovate in from life” – observing macro forces and distilling them. Similarly, his obsession with design and superlative experiences fuels his ability to “innovate out from products” – focusing on a small feature and expanding its relevance.
This same obsession led to his design of the Fahrenheit 212 office space in collaboration with Jon Crawford-Phillips. Marcus studied the way we work, interact and hang out, and created a modern, comfortable workplace that we love [and love to share with guests.]
Prior to joining Fahrenheit 212, Marcus worked at TBWA Chiat Day serving a diverse client base including Cadbury, Samsonite, Chivas Regal, Hasbro, Schweppes, Pret A Manger and the BBC.
Marcus and his wife Sarah added a son, Jago, to their family in 2009. The proud papa is already working out ways to reinvent the high chair, baby bottle and night light.
