GRAPHIC DESIGN INTERN
Fahrenheit 212 is an innovation consultancy focused solely on catalyzing top-line growth. We do this by framing innovation strategies, creating new products and businesses, and accelerating their path to market. Design is a critical phase of the Fahrenheit 212 process that is responsible for dimensioning, elevating and illustrating new product and service solutions through innovative visual storytelling.
The Role.
We are looking for a Graphic Design intern to join the Creative Development team located in downtown Manhattan.
We are looking for a highly collaborative, bright, dynamic, strategic, and multi-faceted designer with the ability to communicate a strategic idea through visual storytelling and video prototyping. The ideal candidate should be majored in Graphic Design, junior or senior year student, with a diverse portfolio and strong research, problem solving, and storytelling abilities. This particular job will be the direct support to the Creative Development team and will work closely with graphic designers, motion graphic designers, storytellers, 3D renderers, and corporate identity specialists. Specific tasks will include: product research, ideation/sketching, brainstorming, 3D rendering, presentation preparation, user interface design support, branding, product graphics support, graphics design, video production, and storyboarding. In addition to specific design related tasks, you will be exposed to the rich cross-disciplinary culture of Fahrenheit 212.
Your Responsibilities.
Supporting the general needs of the design team, be the creative addition to the Fahrenheit 212 team, developing and seeing through design from idea to final solution deliverables, working with design staff on projects and seeking out feedback whenever possible.
Position requirements:
- Proficiency with Mac platform and Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
- Diverse design portfolio that is well balanced, containing branding, packaging, and interactive work.
- Clear understanding of the importance of visual storytelling and design narratives.
- Research and problem solving abilities.
- A strong awareness of trends within the design community.
