SWISSMISS ON BLOGGING DESIGN

We love us some white space and right angles, so we were proud to host a true connoisseur of clean, elegant design: Tina Roth Eisenberg, aka Swissmiss, a ‘Swiss designer gone NYC’ and one of the most influential bloggers on the web today.
Tina has a lot to say about design thinking in innovation, hailing from a country where even rural butchers have professionally designed corporate logos and garbage bags sport unique typography. Chalk it up to the fresh mountain air if you like, but it takes a lot more to turn a blog into a global mini brand with 4 million unique readers.
From humble beginnings as a personal visual archive just for things that made her look, Tina’s blog now defines a modern design aesthetic, championing simplicity and the beauty of everyday life. As the foundation of her business model, the blog drives new business opportunities, market research, and networking, proving that she can not only make her readers look, but engage as well.
An experienced designer of data-heavy user interfaces like the Visual Thesaurus, Tina runs her own design studio with clients like MOMA and the Food Network. She joined us in the first of a series of lunchtime networking meetings organized by our entrepreneur-in-residence, the Alpha Mom.
