Sara Christensen
With a background in identifying and actualizing consumer opportunities, Sara brings a unique perspective to the innovation consultancy Fahrenheit 212– a skilled operator with a combination understanding of brand, experience, trend, and finance.
Sara comes to Fahrenheit 212 having worked the last four years at Pilot Group – a private equity firm focused on consumer-branded companies. Founded by the executive team credited with building internationally-recognized brands such as MTV, AOL, Century 21 Real Estate, and Six Flags Theme Parks, Pilot Group originally recruited Sara in 2004 to source deals, based on her ability to spot trends, understand consumer behavior, and to turn cold calls into CEO level negotiations.
In 2006, Sara was named Director of Business Development, and from 2007-2008, served as VP of Operations for one of the firm’s portfolio companies.
Sara graduated from Bucknell University in 1996, and immediately returned to her birthplace of Copenhagen, Denmark where she spent four years honing her analytical and creative skills developing marketing strategies – first for an International luxury retailer, then for a Scandinavian media house.
In 2000, Sara moved to New York City. Fascinated by the power of the media, she joined PR powerhouse Nadine Johnson & Associates and once she learned the ropes of Public Relations, partnered with then founder of a local East Village Juice bar to help create Liquiteria in 2001 – an all organic liquid emporium voted Best of New York and featured on programs including the TODAY show and Martha Stewart’s Living. (You’ll still find her there on weekends).
