Marcus Oliver

Partner, Innovation Director

Marcus is a partner and Innovation Director at Fahrenheit 212 responsible for the creation, development, production and commercialization of ideas. With over ten years experience in creating, building and bringing products to market across four different continents, Marcus has a real passion for innovation. Working with clients across a host of industries has brought him a breadth of experience in Technology, Media, Household Goods, Fashion, Toys, Credit Cards, Beverages, Snacks and other FMCG products.

Marcus's Masters Degree in Experimental Psychology from Oxford University encouraged his fascination in the world, in people, and in the way they interact with the world at large and with one another, allowing him to "innovate in from life" - to observe the macro and distill it.

While his obsession with all things design in combination with observing how people interact with different objects, have allowed him to "innovate out from products" - focusing in on a small feature and expanding its relevance.

This same obsession led to the design and creation of the Fahrenheit 212 office space in collaboration with Jon Crawford-Phillips. Marcus studied the way we work, interact and hang out, and designed and styled the space accordingly, in an aesthetic of "comfortable industrial".

Prior to joining the Innovation Consultancy Fahrenheit 212, Marcus worked for TBWA Chiat Day with clients such as Cadbury, Samsonite and Chivas Regal. Primarily responsible for strategic development and advertising development, Marcus also was involved in product development, naming and environment design, as well as brand launches for clients such as the BBC, Marlboro, Schweppes, Bulmers, Pret A Manger and Hasbro.
