Kiera Ormut-Fleishman
Kiera is thrilled to be making motion graphic works at Fahrenheit 212. She realized that she wanted to work here when she had much too much fun coming up with ideas to apply for the Octopuspilot program, which led to her becoming the first Octopuspilot, and freelancing with Fahrenheit 212 in the beginning of 2008.
After earning her Bachelor's degree in Art History from McGill University, Kiera grew weary writing about ideas and concepts, and decided to set out and start creating them. This led Kiera to NYC where she undertook her MFA degree at Parsons School of Design. It was through her Master's degree in Design and Technology that Kiera began to find her niche and began to create animations and interaction designs.
During this time, Kiera interned at her favorite broadcast design firm, LoyalKaspar.
Since then, she has continued in her motion graphics and animation work freelancing, and collaborating with her studio, Team Radness, and has had her work shown internationally.
Besides animation, her other passion is for interaction design. At Parsons, she created a mobile product designed to make the user more ecologically aware, which was shown at the Conflux New Media Festival, and was featured on the Wall Street Journal.com.
Although Kiera has traveled far, she will always love her home Toronto, which she believes fosters the sense of wonder and discovery that infuses her work today.
